Unicondylar Knee Resurfacing

In Unicondylar Knee Arthroplasty only half of the knee joint is replaced. When the damage to the knee is limited to one part of the knee joint the other part of it being spared to a greater extent. The severely damaged part of the knee joint is then replaced.

This surgery has advantage over total knee replacement. It’s done through minimum invasion resulting in far less damage to the surrounding tissue. The recover time is much faster.
